Last night, I’ve received a SMS message from TELKOMSEL, at around 6pm, announcing iPhone 3G arrival in Indonesia. Official launch on March 20, 2009, 8pm local time.

The news, posted at kompas.com, gives additional information on the pricing schemes. Finally! It should be official because Kompas is a well-known nation-wide paper.

 Telkomsel announced it has signed an agreement with Apple to bring iPhone 3G to in the coming months

This headline was posted this January on Telkomsel’s corporate website. You can even make a pre-order through the via their pre-order page. However, there is no information on the price or the contract system for their iPhone offer, and there is no information whether these iPhones will be locked or not. You have to assume that it will have a high probability being locked if they offer the product with a contract.
