The easiest way to get your favorite applications installed and updated!

Okay, for some of us, computer geeks, techies or whatever else they call us, some of our daily chores are installing new applications and of course updating them.

niniteWell, fear no more, this task is like taking a trip to the local park. You don’t have to personally visit the author’s website and download the applications one by one.

For example if you need web browsers like Firefox and Opera, IM Yahoo Messenger, Music player WinAmp, and OpenOffice for your PC. You can use “Ninite” to do the task.

All you have to do is visit ninite’s website at www.ninite.com and choose which applications that you want to include to your ninite installer.
And then what you need to do next is run the ninite installer on the designated PC. That’s it. Quite simple, eh?

To prevent redownloading the same application components over and over again when you’re using ninite to install several PCs, you can use this small config file. Just create a file called “ninite.ini” on your ninite folder (the place you save the ninite exectuable) with the following:

[Cache]
path=<your ninite.exe folder, you can use a writeable network path for this>

Omit the “<” and “>”.’

Okay, hope that helps.
